Department of Educational Sciences and Rehabilitation
(Post-)Doc-Forum
The (Post-)Doc Forum at the Department of Education and Rehabilitation at Ludwig Maximilians University Munich is an initiative of the Division of Inclusion and Special Education and provides doctoral students and postdocs with a platform for professional exchange and networking.
Upcoming events
May 8, 2026: Publication strategies, publication types, journal indexes, and citations with
Prof. Dr. Markus Gebhardt
May 29, 2026: Positioning Yourself in the Academic Community with
Prof. Dr. Peter Zentel
The focus is on providing an opportunity to discuss ongoing research, reflect on methodological issues, and identify shared thematic interests.
The forum is designed as an open format that brings together different perspectives and approaches, thereby fostering exchange across disciplinary and methodological boundaries.
Content
The content is tailored to the current needs of doctoral candidates and postdocs. For example, the forum provides a space for discussion on methodological issues, theoretical approaches, and overarching aspects of academic training.
Each semester, a program featuring approximately five sessions is offered. The meetings typically take place on Fridays from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. and are held online via Zoom.
Topics are determined in advance based on the needs of the network. On this basis, a program is compiled and published at the beginning of each semester.
Topics such as developing and refining one’s own research profile, writing grant proposals, or publishing in international journals are examples of focal points from past event series.
In addition, a half-day in-person event is held once a year, primarily to allow participants to get to know each other face-to-face.
Target audience and participation
The forum is intended for doctoral students and postdocs in the Department of Education and Rehabilitation. Participation by colleagues from the neighboring Department of Psychology is encouraged.
Participation
The forum is open to all; you may join at any time. If you are interested, please contact Prof.in Laura Avemarie.
